So instead of staying up to retype it all again... I'll just talk about these topics later and just post a game up and leave it at that.

iTunes, USC-UNC and Chain E-Mails

iTunes is getting me angry, It doesn't have AC/DC, it doesn't have the Beatles, it doesn't have a lot of great classics. It doesn't even have what is probably 2Pac's best song, Changes. (see below). It also has a long history of putting the best songs from movie soundtracks as "album only" forcing anyone who wants to buy the song to buy the whole album. (examples: It's hard out there for a pimp [Hustle and Flow], and A Dream [Freedom writers]) The program is a great partner to the iPod. THese problems cause people to look for other alternatives to attaining the music. This causes Illegal Activities and losses of profits. I hope iTunes fixes this problem soon... If it doesn't fix these too than the peoples need to attain classics will force their hand. I, mself don't plan on doing anything, but I sm sure that these activities by the company has caused some activity on the wrong side of the law.

I just finished reading the book "Everything Bad is Good for You" by Steven Johnson. It is About how today's pop culture isn't going the tubes like so many people claim. It explains how it is getting more complicated and challinging to the Brain than the same culture from 10 or 20 years. It has whole sections on how Video Games, Movies, Television and the Internet have contributed into making todays pop culture more mentally challenging and sophisticated. He makes several valid points and backs them up with good evidence mixed together with great anecdotes and wisecracks. You should read this book.

The North Carolina Tar Heels swept the Duke Blue Devils today. That is always a great addition to a day. Since a very long time i have always loved following UNC Basketball. That in no way takes away from my Love of USC. When they play I hope Usc beats them up and down the court. But whenever they play teams like Duke I root for UNC. I picked UNC in 2005 and I want them to lose to USC in the Final Four this year. (I can dream right...)Anyways, if anything, UNC would be second in my list of favorite Colleges in the terms of Division 1 Sports. It is a distant second though. Anyways, They beat duke again. They did not come out unscathed, but that just adds to the lore of the Duke-UNC rivalry. I'm not sure what makes me like UNC so much. Maybe its the classy baby blue uniforms. Maybe its the rich history in its rivalry against Duke, In the moments that have passed through its gym and its position in the History of Basketball itself. Maybe its Dean Smith, Sam Perkins, James Worthy, Vince Carter, Antawn Jamison, Phil Ford and some guy by the name of Michael Jordan. IT probably is a combination of all of those.

When I heard that Free-Agent Ahman Green signed with the Houston Texans, I was shocked I was entirely sure that he would re-sign with the Pack. However, that is not what happened. I hope the Packers do the right thing and draft Marshawn Lynch if he is mercifully available when they come up to draft. It was him or Dwayne Jarrett even before this happened but if they don't draft him, or manage to pull off a miracle to get adrian Peterson i will be utterly surprised. Green put together a pretty productive season in '06 while most of the country was hypnotized by the artistry of LaDanian Tomlinson. He didn't come close to LT but, nevertheless, He had a good season. I hope we can get similar production from Lynch or whomever we manage to get.

We saw a great showdown today in the NBA. After my Lakers lost to the Suns. (Big Surprise!!!) There was a scoring duel between Ben Gordon of the Bulls and Michael Redd of the Bucks. Gordon had 48 points while Redd had 52. Gordon came out with the win, but it provided a great show. It sounded like a great game. Gordon had a career high, he is going to keep getting better. He is leading the bulls in scoring, from the BENCH! If he doesn't win the sixth man of the year award there is something wrong with the system. His jumpshot is a thing of beauty. This guy is definitely up there with Kobe as one of the best Fourth quarter closers in the game. Of course Michael Redd is a rising star too. He should have been in the all-star game this year but got robbed by the coaches. His team is one of the worst this year (This because of an Injury bug that has plauged it all season.) but he just keeps on scoring and competing every night, displaying one of the best shooting strokes in the NBA today.

One of the biggest curses upon this earth are chain e-mails They are annoying as hell and should be illegal. They waste Inbox space. Most are just people that have nothing else to do so they just make a chain e-mail to see how many people it gets to. Its just their way to spend time. A smaller group of them can be threatening to the health of your computer. I didn't have any strong feelings on the subject until my sister Sara started flooding my Inbox. It got on my nerves and since then I have been campaigning to make it a Felony to create and forward Chain E-mails. It hasn't worked but I'll keep trying.

Juan Pablo Montoya won his first race in American stock Car Racing...in Mexico. It was in NASCAR's Busch Series. He won by spinning his own teammate in the 72nd Lap. It was not exactly the Daytona 500, but his reckless and fun driving was a sign of future things to come for the colombian (yeah Baby!) driver. keep an eye on him... He's gonna be good.

Video Games, Shaq's Knees and The Kupcake

You Know what I love about Video Games? They keep you entertained for a long period of time. They can give you a complicated and entertaining look into just about any world you chose to go to.

I, personally enjoy the sports simulations. They can keep me entertained for hours. I just play and play games. I can pick up any of the games from years ago and keep on playing. Sadly, I can only play on the computer. This poses a dilemma. Not all Video games come out for PC. This has caused me to have to keep on playing MVP Baseball 2005 because EA Sports discontinued its MVP Baseball series. This is terrible. EA Sports has Arena Football, Rugby and College Baseball but it does not have a Game for the MLB. As questionable that is, it is true. I have kept on playing it for so long that I don't remember the last Earned Run i've given up. W/E i keep on playing it because i like baseball and Its a fun game.

I was watching The Heat/Pistons game one ESPN earlier. The thought about Shaq leading the Heat valiantly into the playoffs popped into my head. It would be highly improbable that he could manage that at the ripe old age of 34. This is Shaq's 15th season in the league. That would be 15 seasons, or 960 games of jumping up and down with his 325+ Pound frame. If you have any trouble imagining why Shaq's legs get injured so constantly, just think on all the wear his knees and ankles have suffered with so much sheer weight and exertion. Since Wade got injured he's averaging around 21 and 10. The heat have gone 3-3 (If you count the Houston Game)during that stretch.

Shaq will probably get injured later on when his knees can't stand it anymore. When that happens, the whole team will fall apart. Shaq is the only reason the team is staying afloat as it is. If it isn't for his own production, then it is because of the impact he has on his teammates. Teams will always double team him, and he will always cause open shots for his teammates. When he gets injured, Then players like Jason Kapono and Eddie Jones will not get the open shots they get now.The team will sink out of the playoffs. This team would end up 11th or 12th if it played in the West without Wade. I think it is safe to say that it is only a matter of time befor Shaq's knees put the knockout blow on the defending champion Heat. Oh, and that free throw shooting? It isn't getting any better...

As much as I blame Shaq's knees for the eventual downfall of the Heat, I blame Mitch "Kupcake" Kupchak for the eventual downfall of my beloved Lakers. This is the man that deemed Trading Shaquille O'Neal for Lamar Odom, Caron Butler and brian Grant granted us mor value than trading him for back to back most valuable player Steve Nash. This is also the man that traded All-star Caron Butler for proven bust Kwame Brown. We could have the duo of Kobe and Nash. Those are two perrenial all-star starters. Nash could soon become one of a select few to win 3 straight MVPs. This in the three years since the lakers refused the deal because the Mavs wouldn't throw in Dirk Nowitzki. I hope we can get a good point guard for Kwame and a draft pick. Man, acquiring Kidd would have made me forgiven him. Because it didn't happen, I dissaprove of him even less.

The free Agency Period begun in the NFL today and it seems that the NFL executives adopted the new strategy in signing free agents from the world of baseball. They 49ers made the NFL's first 10 million-dollar defensive back in Nate Clements. They probably overpaid him, but their defense really needed help. i just hope the packers don't jump on the boat too late and make a stupid signing.

I was bored today and started flipping channels. I stopped on comedy central and soon bagan to be enthralled with Scrubs. I think that it was extremely funny. I am really hoping to see more. The cast is very good, and the commentary by Zach Braff is priceless. for those who haven't seen it...see it.

Same old, Same old...

Went back to school today...
Nothing much to write about.
The salary cap in the NFL is pissin' me off.
The steelers released Joey Porter.
Nowhere else do you see a healthy player of his caliber be released.
I understand about Bledsoe, but Porter just gets me angry.
(I wouldn't mind him signing on the packers, though)
Anyways, I got a mountain of Homework. So yeah. This'll be shorter than usual.
I've been listening to a lot of Kanye West, Sinatra, Beatles, 2Pac and Aerosmith lately. I know its a crazy mix. I like them all, so i guess if you don't like it, you can go and vote for Bush.
Only 690 D, 10 H, 25 M and 4 S til Dubya leaves the White House.
