Disclaimer:I in no way am I planning to now or in any time in the future rescind my fandom of the Los Angeles Lakers.
In light of recent events... The Kobe Saga, The Ascension by Portland into being a future Dynasty, The All-Around Talent in the Western Conference, The absolute random-ness of the east... etc. I, In my high-standing position in the Lakers organization have decided to execute a trade. Yes, i know another trade offer... Well, i promise you.. its different.
I offer the Los Angeles Lakers organization in return for either the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, St. Lois Rams or Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This trade will make all of us happy finally giving L.A. its Football team... However, it will probably need to have other parties involved to make it work... because the clippers can't handle L.A. by themselves... they'll probably degenerate into a sorry franchise whose crowning achievements are making the playoffs 7 times and reaching the conference finals only once in 37 years... oh.......... wait.
Ok... so my proposed trade goes as follows...
Los Angeles Lakers, Oakland Raiders: to Pittsburgh I suppose this is fair pay for the Steelers and Penguins. You get the most star-packed organization in NBA History along with another Storied franchise in the Raiders. I know this is a football-heavy town but the Raiders have an interesting future and they get one of the best franchises in history with the Lakers. (It also gets the Lakers out of the west and into the East,) where a team led by a lineup of Crittenton, Kobe, Odom, Gasol and Bynum as their starting lineup in 2 to 3 years will rampage to the finals year-after-year. However, to make this work the Lakers will have to change the purple in their unis to black and the Raiders will have to change their silver to yellow. Sorry, City Rules. Portland Trail Blazers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins: to Los Angeles This gives the city of Angels a great package for about equal price. We get one of the greatest Football franchises in History in the Steelers to make up for all those years without a football team. (its 12 and counting.) And we also get the Blazers, who I praised highly just one post ago. This team has more young talent than Hugh Hefner. And as for the Penguins... Let's just say they're the Blazers of the NHL. Sidney Crosby is making ME want to see Hockey... ME, i thought i'd never see the day. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim(that just makes me giggle) :to Portland The city of Portland gets a Major League ball club to feed the new baseball fever started by back-to-back College world series championships. And this isn't just any Baseball team... No this is a true title-contender who's is stacked with so much talnet, the city of roses wont miss a beat with the blazers gone. Los Angeles Clippers, Oakland A's: to San Diego In Exchange for the most talented team in Football right now the City of San Diego gets another Baseball team and the NBA team that left them 23 years ago. This puts them in a great spot and allows them to not skip a beat. it also gets the Clippers out of Staples. San Diego Chargers: to Oakland In exchange for The Raiders and A's Oakland gets LT and his Boys... 'Nuff Said
It may take all the parties involved a little while to get accustomed to the idea... but after a while it should all work out fine.
First of all id like to point out that Steven A. Smith is a bit opinionated... just in case you didn't figure that out by now. I'm ecstatic with the Los Angeles Lakers almost having the perfect Draft. First we drafted Javaris Crittenton who i am absolutely loopy about. Getting him at #19 was a dream come true. Next came the #40 Pick in the draft where top 20 player Derek Byars fell into our lap for a perfect pick for our positional needs along with being the best player on the board. However, Mitch Kupcake took Sun Yue a Chinese player that plays the same positions as Byars who was drafted 2 spots later. I had him at about the same level as Al Thornton and Law but the Kupcake took the chinese player that played in the ABA last year. 8 picks later we took Marc Gasol, Pau's brother who is very talented and could be a steal worthy of Clooney at #48. However not as big of a steal as Byars at #40 would have been. While some compare Yue to Boris Diaw i doubt taking him over the more talented Byars is just stupid by Kupcake's part. I mean people were comparing Byars to last year's ROY Roy (doesn't that just make you giggle?.....................no?....................well, why would it that is so stupid..............whoever laughs at that is a wierdo......................right? ..........................is that what im supposed to say?.............................i think im being controlled by all those Lymon sprite commercials.....................GREEN SUMO WRESTLERS GOOD...............im just ranting now................i could say anything right now an you would dismiss it and accept it as part of the rant......................let me think of something good to say.................................................................................................................. nah, can't think of anything) im completely lost now. By the way.... did anyone else notice that Portland is going to win like 4 or 5 Championships in a row now? I mean look at them! C:Greg Oden F:LaMarcus Aldridge F:Channing Frye SG:Brandon Roy PG:Jarrett Jack And: Sergio Rodriguez PG, Rudy Fernandez SG, Travis Outlaw SF, Taurean Green PG, Martell Webster F, Josh McRoberts F, Demetris Nichols F In addition to all that young talent and Steve Francis They also have multiple Projects in Europe like Joel Freeland C and Petteri Koponen PG who could work out and add even more to their young talent. Thats just plain scary, and with Durant and Green going to Seattle they could be a force for years to come (even though they do have Szcerbiak...) making the pacific northwest the sudden capital of the NBA world... Along with Toronto and Chicago of course... i mean Colangelo is a bloody (pardon the english english) genius nad the Bulls have so much young talent it will be imossible not to root for them. Just you wait in 5 years the conference finals will be Seattle v. Portland and Toronto v. Chicago with Portland going on to beat Toronto in the finals... Write it down... 2012.
Usually when i read a blog there is a purpose. The person set out to write about something in particular. I dont have anything in particular to write about but i just have nothing else to do...
My fantasy team keeps on chugging along im about to acquire a fellow blogger of mine in Curt Schilling. Im giving VMart for Brian McCann and Schilling. Schilling is obviously in the downside of his career, but he is still very effective and remains in the top twenty in terms of production in the majors. Check his blog out.
i saw the new Fantastic 4. the only thing good about it was Jessica Alba, but even she couldn't escape the overall crappiness of the movie. It had little plot substance, diverged from the comic books and had terrible, dumbed-dpwn dialogue.
i found two great websites: one is called google and the other is yahoo... No, seriously they are Blogmusik.net and baseball-reference.com. One is a site which basically gives you any song you would want to hear in english in full length and the other is full of baseball statistics from the 1880's and every boxscore since 1957.
I was watching Baseball Tonight today... It struck me as funny how Fernando ViƱa kept on emphasizing how he had "faced this guy many times in his career" as if saying that he should have more say in the matter over Buster Olney who could only rely on his spectator view. I thought it was funny to see and hear. It might have been intentional or maybe there was something else there.
I'll be back (as our highly injected governor would quip)
Ok so the cavs lost... I guess it wasnt much of a surprise. It would have been nice for them to win a single game though. I have larger things on my mind (how far have the finals fallen) Kobe. I am entirely confused by kobe's actions. I think that even kobe is confused by kobe's actions. He has said that he wants to be traded and he has also said that he doesnt want to be traded. I dont know which statement by the mamba to believe. However if he does end up wanting to be traded then i will not continue defending his actions... This is because that would be the final straw. I will join the already heavily populated ranks of Kobe haters. However right now i am content in probably narrow sighted view of laker fandom. I think that all will end well in the kingdom of lakerland. I hope we trade for O'Neal (Jermaine) and convince the increasingly whiny Bryant to stay. This is because he remains the best player in the NBA. However if he does in fact decide to leave then there is no doubt that there are several intruiging possibilities if we decide to trade Kobe.
1.Kobe, Radmanovic, Vujacic To Bulls for Gordon, Deng, Thomas and #9 pick.
This would be a very intruiging offer for the lakers which would leave us with a very young and talented core for the Lakers to build their future around. We would have Odom, Bynum, Gordon, Deng, Thomas and whomever we pick with the 9th pick. The 9th pick could be used to pick several players which could either be: Spencer Hawes who is an old school player that has numerous post moves and could develop into a very special player, Mike Conley A very talented PG from Ohio State that would give us an great young backcourt with Gordon and Farmar, Thaddeus Young a great guard from Georgia Tech who seems like a Paul pierce type player, or Julian Wright who is a tantalizing talent and could end up outplaying several of the players ahead of him but has develpoed an image of underachievement.
2.Kobe, Radmanovic for Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, and the #3 Pick
This is another trade that would give the lakers a bright future with Odom, Bynum, Johnson, Smith and one of numerous talent the Lakers could select with the 3rd pick, including:Brandan Wright, the talented forward from UNC, Al Horford, The NBA Ready, force in the paint and Jeff Green the athletic small forward from G-Town. They could form yet another potent core for the Lakers to build around.
3.Kobe, Radmanovic, Sasha to NYK; Jamal Crawford, Nate Robinson, Jeffries, #23 to Boston; Kwame, David Lee, Steve Francis to IND; Paul Pierce, Jermaine O'Neal, Ike Diogu, 2 1st rounders to LAL. This is the kind of trade that many are looking for... a big blockbuster involving several superstars and many teams. However, this is just the kind of trade that i hope the Lakers don't make. This will compromise the future while getting two Stars for right now. I would much rather get the young players and the lottery picks.
4.Kobe, Sasha, VladRam, #40, #48, next year's #2 for Arenas, Jarvis Hayes, Antawn Jamison, #16 pick, next year's #1
With this trade the Lakers get another high scoring, high ego-ed guard that can help them not miss a beat. Something tells me that Gilbert wont miss a beat in the hollywood spotlight. They would have a superstar and two great second fiddle forwards in jamison and odom and still get a promising young guard in Hayes and two future first-rounders.
5.Kobe, VladRam, Sasha for Amare Stoudemire, Leandro Barbosa, Diaw, next year's ATL first rounder.
I don't think that the Kupcake has the balls to make this move. trading the most dangerous scorer in the league to a division rival. However, this would give the lakers a great young core. Amare (one of my favorite players), Odom, Barbosa, Diaw and a great chance of selecting O.J. Mayo next year. This would probably be the best deal in terms of value but i doubt the kupcake would ever do it.
So there are several trades that could help the lakers in the long and short term. I wouldn't mind any of these. BTW i want the Lakers to draft Nick Young with the #19. If they dont get him they should call whomever does get him and offer the 19th and Cook or Evans for him. 'cause Young is gonna be special. Of course it doesnt have anything to do with my fanhood of 'SC.
This happened one night at my house. My little sister was showing off for the camera and i just tackled her. It has become a classic in my family... Enjoy!
WOW!!! that was amazing. That performance gave me chills. LeBron scored his teams last 25 points, 29 of their last 30 and their last 11 FGs. He basically carried the Cavs to a 3-2 series lead going back home for game 6. This isn't over yet but he may have just carried them to the finals on his back, single-handedly to the franchise's first NBA Finals. this ranks high up there in NBA Lore. There is no question about it. If he plays anything close to how he did today then the Spurs may have to get a little worried. This is emphasized by a certain emphatic dunk performed by lebron earlier in the season.
Straying a bit from LeBron, Billy Donovan once again showed how truly worthless NCAA coaching contracts really are by apparently signing with the orlando Magic after making all those temporarily relieved gator fans out there believe he wasn't following his top four players into the NBA. However he provided even more proof than the huggins and Gillipsie debacles of earlier in the year.
One more thing amused me recently. This was A-Rod's controversial play against the blue jays. He shouted behind a blue Jay player trying to catch a pop fly causing him to believe that a teammate was calling him off. i don't really know what to make about this except that it reminds me a lot of Willie Mays Hayes performing this same tactic in one of the major league movies. i found it funny in the movie but a little bit unprofessional in real life.
Sorry for another long stretch without any blog posts but sometimes i just don't care. However I'll try to keep the streak going a little longer this time but i can't make any guarantees. Now, a few momentous occasions occurred to me recently. First i celebrated my fifteenth birthday part last week. I had my party on Saturday and invited a few friends over. it was pretty cool. i played 2 on 3 with the worst player on my team to 50 and we lost 50-44 with me scoring a game-high 42. Did I mention that we were playing by 1s and 2s. Its alright though i think i made my point well enough. We also played a little 2 on 2 baseball, and naturally, i was the only one to hit a home run. Happy Birthday to me! For my birthday i got lots of money and an XBox 360 with 4 games: Guitar hero II, Call of Duty 3, NBA Live 07, and MLB 2K7.
I realized today that there are 10 days of school left. So that's nice. also brightening my day is that 4 of those 10 are half days. I still have to do all my final exams though so there's still some work to be done.
In other areas of interest my fantasy team keeps chugging along, comfortably in first place. I have a 7-0-1 record and im probably going to get my eighth win this week unless everyone dies on my team. However, i do have a problem. my team is too talented. I have 12 playes that would undoubtedly start on any other team, but only 10 starting positions. Let me show you:
as you can see ill be in even more trouble when Joe Mauer comes back. Now i have been considering a few options and I have come up with these:
1.Trade Howard and Ortiz for Pujols and Sheffield: This would give me the best player in fantasy and allow me to start Beltran. Basically trading Ortiz and Howard for Pujols and Beltran if you look at in terms of starting players.
2.use some of my big pieces to acquire Johan Santana: But after Sizemore, Bedard and Chris Young was denied i have pretty much lost hope.
3.Keep my players and stay with the most powerful bench every built and still probably win the league.
I'll keep y'all posted on what happens.
I've seen the new 'Pirates' twice already, once with some friends and once with my family. I think it was really good. I wont give up important plot points yet.
I thought that this was the best one so far. That is my humble opinion but it is what i believe. Jack is at his greatest and the return of Barbossa and an appearance by keith richards make it stand above the other two.
Ah the NBA playoffs where have you gone. I used to follow you religiously. However, now that The perennially bland pistons and Spurs are going extremely deep every year it has become more and more boring. The only thing that is keeping me from ignoring them entirely is LeBron james. Of course, i am not alone in this. however, I vow right here that i will not watch one second of the NBA Finals if it is anothe Spurs-Pistons Series. I love basketball but i just can't watch that.
More exciting (in a bad way) news coming from the NBA is Kobe Bryant's demand for a trade and subsequent retraction of that request a mere 3 hours later. I hope the lakers understand that kobe has never been this frustrated and needs for them to make some impact moves NOW. Starting with getting rid of the cupcake and getting back Jerry West. I also want Kidd. i wouldn't mind garnett either but i think Kevin McHale would rather have an 0-82 season than trade one of the best players in the NBA to the team he so completely hated during the 80s.
I thought that one of the strangest sequences i had ever seen happened in the 12th inning of a Giants- Mets game when Armando benitez balked Twice to allow Jose Reyes to score the tying run and the allow Carlos Delgado to hit the walkoff right after. FYI Benitez got traded to the Marlins today so he'll probably have a lot more meetings with the Mets this season.
Most comercial on Tv are garbage, but some are worth watching. I have decided that the top three are Skittles, Mountain Dew and Bud Light. This, of course does not include any judging from super bowl weekend. So here is a small sampling of these commercials with updates over time to be added.
well I'm sorry for the long layoff between posts... but i just didn't care. But I'm coming back with a vengeance.I probably wont post everyday though.
WARNING:Fantasy baseball material contained below
So, my genius plan for my fantasy baseball team faied when the guy ahead of me took Santana. But, i think i compensated very well and drafted and traded my way to becoming the best team in my league. Take a look:
Now, In case you're wondering how i managed to get such an incredibly talented team then ill just say this: i manage my team like Isiah Thomas on Speed. I do around two to three trades a week. Thats why only ten of my 26 players were originally on my team, and one of those (Chris Young) was just recently reacquired. I have my share of robberies along with my share of bad breaks but with the quantity of trades i make i end up improving my team a whole lot. I have slowed down considerably recently but im probably not done trading just yet. As my team is soon to be 5-0 facing off with my one true competitor in my H2H league next week its an exciting time to be the manager of Sandy's Squad.
They had the best of '06/'07 SNL show yesterday but i was dissapointed that they left out the Hugh Laurie show from 10/28/06 which in my opinion was the best of the season.
It had four or five skits that were up there with the best of them this season. Well, i hope i dont lose interest as quickly as last time...
I had a really long and elaborate blog about Borat, Dwayne Wade, and 24... but the computer got stupid and shut down Explorer before i could save it so... I lost it. So instead of staying up to retype it all again... I'll just talk about these topics later and just post a game up and leave it at that.
iTunes is getting me angry, It doesn't have AC/DC, it doesn't have the Beatles, it doesn't have a lot of great classics. It doesn't even have what is probably 2Pac's best song, Changes. (see below). It also has a long history of putting the best songs from movie soundtracks as "album only" forcing anyone who wants to buy the song to buy the whole album. (examples: It's hard out there for a pimp [Hustle and Flow], and A Dream [Freedom writers]) The program is a great partner to the iPod. THese problems cause people to look for other alternatives to attaining the music. This causes Illegal Activities and losses of profits. I hope iTunes fixes this problem soon... If it doesn't fix these too than the peoples need to attain classics will force their hand. I, mself don't plan on doing anything, but I sm sure that these activities by the company has caused some activity on the wrong side of the law.
I just finished reading the book "Everything Bad is Good for You" by Steven Johnson. It is About how today's pop culture isn't going the tubes like so many people claim. It explains how it is getting more complicated and challinging to the Brain than the same culture from 10 or 20 years. It has whole sections on how Video Games, Movies, Television and the Internet have contributed into making todays pop culture more mentally challenging and sophisticated. He makes several valid points and backs them up with good evidence mixed together with great anecdotes and wisecracks. You should read this book.
The North Carolina Tar Heels swept the Duke Blue Devils today. That is always a great addition to a day. Since a very long time i have always loved following UNC Basketball. That in no way takes away from my Love of USC. When they play I hope Usc beats them up and down the court. But whenever they play teams like Duke I root for UNC. I picked UNC in 2005 and I want them to lose to USC in the Final Four this year. (I can dream right...)Anyways, if anything, UNC would be second in my list of favorite Colleges in the terms of Division 1 Sports. It is a distant second though. Anyways, They beat duke again. They did not come out unscathed, but that just adds to the lore of the Duke-UNC rivalry. I'm not sure what makes me like UNC so much. Maybe its the classy baby blue uniforms. Maybe its the rich history in its rivalry against Duke, In the moments that have passed through its gym and its position in the History of Basketball itself. Maybe its Dean Smith, Sam Perkins, James Worthy, Vince Carter, Antawn Jamison, Phil Ford and some guy by the name of Michael Jordan. IT probably is a combination of all of those.
When I heard that Free-Agent Ahman Green signed with the Houston Texans, I was shocked I was entirely sure that he would re-sign with the Pack. However, that is not what happened. I hope the Packers do the right thing and draft Marshawn Lynch if he is mercifully available when they come up to draft. It was him or Dwayne Jarrett even before this happened but if they don't draft him, or manage to pull off a miracle to get adrian Peterson i will be utterly surprised. Green put together a pretty productive season in '06 while most of the country was hypnotized by the artistry of LaDanian Tomlinson. He didn't come close to LT but, nevertheless, He had a good season. I hope we can get similar production from Lynch or whomever we manage to get.
We saw a great showdown today in the NBA. After my Lakers lost to the Suns. (Big Surprise!!!) There was a scoring duel between Ben Gordon of the Bulls and Michael Redd of the Bucks. Gordon had 48 points while Redd had 52. Gordon came out with the win, but it provided a great show. It sounded like a great game. Gordon had a career high, he is going to keep getting better. He is leading the bulls in scoring, from the BENCH! If he doesn't win the sixth man of the year award there is something wrong with the system. His jumpshot is a thing of beauty. This guy is definitely up there with Kobe as one of the best Fourth quarter closers in the game. Of course Michael Redd is a rising star too. He should have been in the all-star game this year but got robbed by the coaches. His team is one of the worst this year (This because of an Injury bug that has plauged it all season.) but he just keeps on scoring and competing every night, displaying one of the best shooting strokes in the NBA today.
One of the biggest curses upon this earth are chain e-mails They are annoying as hell and should be illegal. They waste Inbox space. Most are just people that have nothing else to do so they just make a chain e-mail to see how many people it gets to. Its just their way to spend time. A smaller group of them can be threatening to the health of your computer. I didn't have any strong feelings on the subject until my sister Sara started flooding my Inbox. It got on my nerves and since then I have been campaigning to make it a Felony to create and forward Chain E-mails. It hasn't worked but I'll keep trying.
Juan Pablo Montoya won his first race in American stock Car Racing...in Mexico. It was in NASCAR's Busch Series. He won by spinning his own teammate in the 72nd Lap. It was not exactly the Daytona 500, but his reckless and fun driving was a sign of future things to come for the colombian (yeah Baby!) driver. keep an eye on him... He's gonna be good.
"Why am I fighting to live, if I'm just living to fight. Why am I trying to see when there aint nothing in sight. Why am I trying to give when no one gives me a try. Why am I dying to live, If I'm just living to die." -Tupac-
You Know what I love about Video Games? They keep you entertained for a long period of time. They can give you a complicated and entertaining look into just about any world you chose to go to.
I, personally enjoy the sports simulations. They can keep me entertained for hours. I just play and play games. I can pick up any of the games from years ago and keep on playing. Sadly, I can only play on the computer. This poses a dilemma. Not all Video games come out for PC. This has caused me to have to keep on playing MVP Baseball 2005 because EA Sports discontinued its MVP Baseball series. This is terrible. EA Sports has Arena Football, Rugby and College Baseball but it does not have a Game for the MLB. As questionable that is, it is true. I have kept on playing it for so long that I don't remember the last Earned Run i've given up. W/E i keep on playing it because i like baseball and Its a fun game.
I was watching The Heat/Pistons game one ESPN earlier. The thought about Shaq leading the Heat valiantly into the playoffs popped into my head. It would be highly improbable that he could manage that at the ripe old age of 34. This is Shaq's 15th season in the league. That would be 15 seasons, or 960 games of jumping up and down with his 325+ Pound frame. If you have any trouble imagining why Shaq's legs get injured so constantly, just think on all the wear his knees and ankles have suffered with so much sheer weight and exertion. Since Wade got injured he's averaging around 21 and 10. The heat have gone 3-3 (If you count the Houston Game)during that stretch.
Shaq will probably get injured later on when his knees can't stand it anymore. When that happens, the whole team will fall apart. Shaq is the only reason the team is staying afloat as it is. If it isn't for his own production, then it is because of the impact he has on his teammates. Teams will always double team him, and he will always cause open shots for his teammates. When he gets injured, Then players like Jason Kapono and Eddie Jones will not get the open shots they get now.The team will sink out of the playoffs. This team would end up 11th or 12th if it played in the West without Wade. I think it is safe to say that it is only a matter of time befor Shaq's knees put the knockout blow on the defending champion Heat. Oh, and that free throw shooting? It isn't getting any better...
As much as I blame Shaq's knees for the eventual downfall of the Heat, I blame Mitch "Kupcake" Kupchak for the eventual downfall of my beloved Lakers. This is the man that deemed Trading Shaquille O'Neal for Lamar Odom, Caron Butler and brian Grant granted us mor value than trading him for back to back most valuable player Steve Nash. This is also the man that traded All-star Caron Butler for proven bust Kwame Brown. We could have the duo of Kobe and Nash. Those are two perrenial all-star starters. Nash could soon become one of a select few to win 3 straight MVPs. This in the three years since the lakers refused the deal because the Mavs wouldn't throw in Dirk Nowitzki. I hope we can get a good point guard for Kwame and a draft pick. Man, acquiring Kidd would have made me forgiven him. Because it didn't happen, I dissaprove of him even less.
The free Agency Period begun in the NFL today and it seems that the NFL executives adopted the new strategy in signing free agents from the world of baseball. They 49ers made the NFL's first 10 million-dollar defensive back in Nate Clements. They probably overpaid him, but their defense really needed help. i just hope the packers don't jump on the boat too late and make a stupid signing.
I was bored today and started flipping channels. I stopped on comedy central and soon bagan to be enthralled with Scrubs. I think that it was extremely funny. I am really hoping to see more. The cast is very good, and the commentary by Zach Braff is priceless. for those who haven't seen it...see it.
689:10:24:30 till Bush is out. (it keeps on falling!!!)-
Nowhere else do you see a healthy player of his caliber be released.
I understand about Bledsoe, but Porter just gets me angry.
(I wouldn't mind him signing on the packers, though)
Anyways, I got a mountain of Homework. So yeah. This'll be shorter than usual.
I've been listening to a lot of Kanye West, Sinatra, Beatles, 2Pac and Aerosmith lately. I know its a crazy mix. I like them all, so i guess if you don't like it, you can go and vote for Bush.
Only 690 D, 10 H, 25 M and 4 S til Dubya leaves the White House.
Hi, Me again. Stayed home from school today... Wasn't feeling too well. I slept 'till one. Nothing new except my dad finally bought a Prius today. His old car got totalled 'cause some nut was drivin' a bicycle on the highway. So he got this car to replace it. Its pretty awsome.
Shaun Livingston's injury a few days ago was pretty scary. He tore his ACL, MCL and PCL. I didn't even know the PCL existed. I was reading about it and he could be out all of next season. Too bad, he was going to be pretty good. Some people were comparing him to magic. I sure hope he comes back as good as he used to be.
I had his stock on Protrade (an online athletic stock market) and it has plummeted because everybody started shorting. He lost 25% until his stock got retired. But none of that matters now. I just hope he can get through this as painlessly as possible.
I downloaded Google Earth Yesterday...
To spend the time I decided to find all Professional Sports playing structures. I just finished doing the national league. So to your right you'll see Dodger Stadium.
Speaking of the Dodgers...They've got some talent this year. Mr. Ned Colletti has done a great job as a general manager. He has built a strong team now without giving away any of our good prospects. we're getting to the world series this year. We're not going to win, but were getting closer.
My fantasy baseball draft is coming up. I'll have to rebound from a tough loss in the semifinals in my Football league and win it all. Ive developed an ingenious plan... I plan to get this guy called Johan Santana. I hear he's pretty good, i'll pick him first and go from there.
No, seriously, i hope i can get him. He's easily the best pitcher in baseball. I hope no one picks him before i'm up.
Im preparing thoroughly. If i don't win by a mile I'll be utterly surprised.
Nothing in the theaters looks any good right now except Breach. I think the Number 23 may be good, but i haven't seen it yet. What i really want to see is Zodiac, coming out on Friday. That looks pretty darn good.
On the Oscars: i agreed with most of them. of my five mortal Locks i got four right (Forest Whitaker, Helen Mirren, Jeniffer Hudson and Martin Scorcese.) I, of course missed on Babel. I guess the Departed was worthy though.
It seems like another steroid scandal in baseball. It looks like Gary Matthews Junior and Evander Holyfield both recieved steroids from an online distributor. By now it only looks like another steroid scandal. At least it explains Gary Matthew's unexplainable career year last year.
I saw on NBA.com that Clyde Drexler will follow Emmett Smith and Jerry Rice onto Dancing with the Stars. Out of the list of contestants i only know Him, Apollo Anton Ohno, and Paulina Porzikova. I dont know much about this kind of thing but I bet it'll be between "The Glide" or Ohno.
Kevin Durant led the longhorns over Texas AM in 2OT 98-96. He's gonna be the real deal. I hope the Lakers manage to get him. (Fat Chance)
The Bears finally wised up and payed Lovie, it was long time coming but at least it finally happened.
'SC in the Final Four next year.
< new;">691 Days, 9 Hours, 25 Minutes, 25 Seconds till George W. is out of office.
Name's Daniel, Thats all you need to know for now.
I will Blog cause i feel like it and want to generously share valuable pieces of my knowledge to whoever luckily happens upon this blog.
I'll provide great snapshots of my life and the world in general.
